Janice Hampton has served on the Jackson Madison County Board of Education since 2012. She served as Vice Chairman of the Board 2016-2017; Chairman of the Policy Committee in 2012, where Open Enrollment was adopted; Advisory Board Committee for Early College High in 2014; and on the School Health Advisory Board in 2012. She has her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Counseling. She is employed with the Madison County Juvenile Court Services as an Intake Counselor. She serves on the Executive Committee for the TN Juvenile Court Services Association; the Southwest Council on Children and Youth; the Chester Area Neighborhood Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She has also served as a Truancy Board Member and a Foster Care Review Board Member. Janice enjoys traveling, shopping, reading and spending time with family. She has two adult children, Tiffany Reeves and Whitey Hampton and two grandchildren, Rashad Alan Ross, Jr. and Ryler Aston Ross.

Anna Shepherd has served on the Metro/Davidson County Board of Education since 2010. She has served as Board Chairman since 2016 and served as Vice Chairman in 2012-2013 and 2015. She has served on many community projects including: Donelson Hermitage Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Ex-Officio Member; PENCIL Foundation, Music Makes Us Board of Directors; and the McGavock Cluster Coalition Board of Directors. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University and currently works as a payroll manager. Her hobbies include: walking, reading, cooking and travel. Anna and her husband, Larry, have three children, Melissa, Michael and Jimmy, along with four grandchildren, Savannah, Zach, Daniel and Charlotte.

Dr. Dale Viox
Dr. Dale Viox has served on the Arlington Board of Education since 2013. He served as the board chairman in 2015 and in 2013, which was the inaugural year for Arlington Community Schools. He served as Tennessee Legislative Network representative in 2017. He has also served on the TSBA OPEB Trust since 2015 and served as the Trust’s Vice Chairman in 2017. Dale is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He devotes the majority of his time to the school board and the children of St. Jude. He and his wife, Dana have three children, Zac, Taylor and Jackson.

Jo Williams has served on the Anderson County Board of Education since 2008. She served as Board Chairman in 2013; Vice Chairman in 2014-2016 and 2010 – 2012; and Policy Committee Chairman 2010-2018. She is a Level V Master School Board Member and a 2017 Master Ambassador. She served on the All Tennessee School Board in 2017. Other committees on which she has served include: East District Nominating Committee 2016-2018; Head Start/Early Head Start governing body representative 2009-2018; Anderson County Preschool Advisory Council 2012-2018; Coordinated School Health Advisory Council 2015-2018; Advancing Wellness and Resilience in Education (AWARE Grant) Coalition 2015-2018; Allies for Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition 2011-2018; Collaborative Conferencing panel 2013-2018; and served as a delegate for TSBA convention 2010-2018 and as a credentials committee member. Jo is very active in her community having served on various committees and projects. She is retired from Anderson County Schools where she worked as the Executive Assistant for the Director of Schools. Jo and her husband, Kenneth, have two children, Kenna and Dara and five grandchildren, Shane, Tucker, Jake, Ellen and Sara.

Robert (Bob) Alvey, Jr., served as the 2013 Immediate Past President, 2012 President, 2011 President-Elect and the 2009-2010 Southwest District Director on the TSBA Board of Directors. A resident of Jackson, Bob has been a member of the Jackson-Madison County Board of Education since 2002. He has served as his School Board Chairman, TLN Representative, FRN Representative, and a member of the TLN Board of Directors. He has achieved Level V/Master Board Member status in the TSBA Boardsmanship Program. He was named to the All Tennessee School Board for 2010, was recipient of the School Board Member of the Year/C. Hal Henard Distinguished Service Award in 2016 and has received the NSBA Distinguished Service Award. In 2014, he was inducted into the TSBA Scholars Circle. Bob is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Electrical Engineering. Bob retired from the Procter and Gamble Company after working in the Duracell Personal Power business and Household Care Business Unit. He currently serves as the Board Chairman for the Smiles and Blessings Dental Ministry, and serves as a Director for the Jackson Area Wide Soccer Association. Bob attends Englewood Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon and Youth Sunday School Teacher. Bob is married (Amy) and has two children: Meredith, a 2010 graduate of Auburn University, and Rob, a senior at Union University.
